Whitnage

Whitnage is a quiet part of Mid Devon where the accommodation on offer reflects that unhurried setting. Cabana Lakeside Lodge 3 sleeps six across three bedrooms, two with super-king-size zip-and-link beds and one king-size, each with its own en-suite. Two of those en-suites include a freestanding contemporary bath alongside a wet room shower, while the third has a wet room shower and WC. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area features a wood burner, comfortable sofas, and floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening onto a decked area. A fully equipped kitchen, plus a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, covers practical needs throughout a stay.

Outside, a private hot tub, garden furniture and a charcoal BBQ make good use of the patio and decking. Guests have free run of the 11-acre site and its lakes for coarse fishing. Up to three dogs are welcome, and off-road parking accommodates two cars. The four lodges on site can be booked together for larger groups, though stag and hen parties are not permitted. Twelve steps lead to the front door.
