Inwardleigh

Inwardleigh sits near the town of Okehampton in Devon, and The Retreat At Waytown is found here on a working sheep and cattle farm. Semi-detached from the owners’ farmhouse, this two-bedroom cottage has an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner on the ground floor, with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer, plus an open fire for cooler evenings. Upstairs, a king-size double bedroom and a family room with a double and single bed both take in views over the surrounding farmland, alongside a bathroom with a shower over the bath.

Outside, the garden is set up for al fresco dining with a BBQ and seating area, and children have their own sand-pit to enjoy. With the owners’ permission, guests can visit the farm itself, meeting pedigree South Devon cattle and rare Whiteface Dartmoor sheep, with lambing and calving taking place between February and May. A cot, highchair and bicycle storage are also available, and the property offers ample off-road parking.
