The Retreat At Waytown

This semi-detached retreat forms part of a working sheep and cattle farm at Inwardleigh, near Okehampton. It sits attached to the owners' farmhouse via two internal doors, which are permanently locked and secured, so there is no shared access between the two homes despite the connection.

The ground floor holds an open-plan lounge, kitchen and diner. The kitchen is equipped with an electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer, plus a dining table for group meals. The lounge has an open fire for cooler evenings, along with a TV, DVD player and hi-fi. Upstairs are two bedrooms with views over the surrounding countryside: one with a king-size bed and its own TV/DVD, and a family room with a double and single bed, sleeping four in total. A single bathroom serves the property, fitted with a shower over the bath and a WC.

Outside, the garden has seating and a BBQ for outdoor dining, along with a sandpit for children. A cot and highchair are available on request, and there is storage space for bicycles. Guests may visit the working farm with the owners' permission, meeting the pedigree South Devon cattle and Whiteface Dartmoor sheep; lambing and calving run from February to May.

This is a no-smoking property with ample off-road parking and no dogs permitted. Internet access is provided. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
