Wykeham

Wykeham is an end-terrace Georgian cottage in Mortehoe, a clifftop village near Woolacombe on the North Devon coast, sleeping four across two bedrooms. Both bedrooms are upstairs, which is worth bearing in mind for guests who find stairs difficult. Up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

The ground floor is arranged as an open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room. Kitchen equipment includes a gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer, with the dining area set for four. The lounge has a sofa, armchair, TV/DVD and a wood burner for cooler evenings, with gas central heating throughout. The single bathroom is upstairs, fitted with a shower over the bath and WC.

Outside, guests have use of a shared lawned garden with a picnic table and a children's play area. Private parking is on site. A travel cot and highchair are available, and internet access is provided. The village pub and a shop are less than half a mile away.

Grunta Beach is a similar distance for rockpool exploration at low tide. Woolacombe's three-mile sandy beach is within a mile, and the circular coastal walking route between Morte Point and Bull Point lighthouse is a reliable spot for seal sightings along the way.
