Woodstock Cottage

Woodstock Cottage stands in the hamlet of Birchill, a few miles from Chardstock, a stone-built holiday let with an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room warmed by a woodburning stove. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, and the ground floor gets you most of the way round the cottage without stairs.

The ground-floor bedroom has a super king-size bed that converts to two singles on request, sharing the level with a bathroom fitted with a bath, walk-in shower, basin and WC. A second bedroom, a double, sits up a flight of stairs and takes in countryside views through a Velux window. Bed linen and towels are included.

The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, dishwasher and washing machine, and the sitting area has a Smart TV with Freeview, DVD and Blu-Ray player and WiFi. An air source heat pump and radiators run alongside the woodburning stove, with fuel and power included in the rent. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger guests.

Outside, an enclosed garden has decking, a gravelled area, furniture and a barbecue, and guests can use the owner's meadow for exercising dogs. Woodstock Cottage takes one well-behaved dog. Off-road parking covers two cars, the nearest shop is 1.3 miles away and the pub 1.2 miles, with the beach around 8 miles. Smoking is not permitted, and bookings need a minimum stay of 4 nights.
