Wisteria House

Wisteria House is a detached Georgian farmhouse set within a 40-acre working farm estate near Beaworthy, sleeping up to 16 across seven bedrooms. The bedroom mix suits multi-generational parties well: a super-king master with a free-standing bath en suite, a twin that can convert to a super-king on request, three doubles, a quad room with four single beds, and a single with a pull-out option. Four bathrooms serve the upper floor, and a separate WC sits downstairs. The farmhouse was awarded Gold in the Self-Catering Accommodation category at the Devon Tourism Awards 2025-26.

Period features run throughout, including sash windows, quarry-tiled floors and ornamental fireplaces. The family room combines an Aga, open fire, Smart TV and dining space with antique pine dressers, while a separate kitchen handles practical cooking with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, American-style fridge-freezer and walk-in larder. A large entrance hall and a drawing room with a second Smart TV complete the ground floor, along with a boot room with generous storage for outdoor kit.

The enclosed wraparound garden includes a patio with picnic tables, a gas BBQ and a trampoline. Private parking is ample. A private hot tub can be hired at extra cost (from £290 for three nights). Shared estate facilities include a heated indoor pool bookable via a guest app with two guaranteed two-hour slots per day (bring your own towels), a sauna, a gym, a games room with pool, table tennis, air hockey, darts and table football, a children's playground, an indoor soft-play area, and a petting farm. Five acres of woodland and a lake are open to explore, though children must be supervised near the water.

Travel cots, a highchair and stairgate are available on request and subject to availability. A separate beamed event space seats up to 40 and can be hired for an additional £150. The farmhouse can also be combined with other properties on site to accommodate a further 25 guests. A pub and shops are three miles away. No dogs are permitted.
