The Thatched Cottage

The Thatched Cottage sits on the outskirts of Crediton, a detached property with far-reaching views over the surrounding fields. It sleeps 10 across five bedrooms and three bathrooms, with a ground-floor bedroom and en-suite alongside a cloakroom, and two further staircases leading up to the rest of the house.

The first set of stairs reaches a landing with a shower room and two more bedrooms, one double and one twin. A second staircase, off the kitchen and dining room, leads to a super-king-size room (zip/link, can be made a twin) and a further double, both looking over the fields. A family bathroom with a bath and shower over completes the first floor.

The kitchen is well-equipped for a group this size, and the dining room has exposed beams and plenty of table space. The sitting room holds an all-in-one pool and table tennis table for evenings in. Guests should bring their own highchair, travel cot and stairgates, as none are provided at the property, and note that the fireplace and barbecues are not for guest use.

Outside, a landscaped garden has gravel and lawned areas, decking and a hot tub, though the boundaries are not enclosed, so care is needed with children and pets, and there are mesh-covered ponds to be aware of. Stone steps lead to the hot tub and decking area, and there are stairs within the property too, so please take care and supervise children outside at all times. The Thatched Cottage takes two well-behaved dogs. Ample off-road parking is provided, and the property is strictly no smoking, vaping or candles. The property does not accept hen, stag or similar parties.
