The Stone Barn Cottage

The Stone Barn Cottage sits on the edge of the Dartmoor village of Holne, converted from a barn attached to the owner's house. It sleeps 6 across three ground-floor bedrooms, two doubles (one king-size) and a twin, with two en-suite bathrooms and a further shared shower room, making it a workable base for families or couples sharing.

The layout is upside down, so the top floor holds a lofty open-plan space with wood floors, a wood burning stove, a dining area and a kitchen, with steps up to a door onto the garden. Central and underfloor heating cover the cottage, with a microwave, fridge-freezer, oven, hob, washer-dryer, dishwasher, TV with DVD and WiFi throughout, and fuel and power included in the rent.

Outside, an enclosed garden has views over the surrounding countryside and moors, with a barbecue and garden furniture. Off-road parking is provided for three cars, and a pub stands less than a mile from the property. Riding stables are nearby, and the River Dart runs close by for trout and salmon fishing, with the beaches at Torbay around 15 miles away.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, with a charge for the second dog. Smoking is not permitted, and a returnable bond applies.
