The Old Haybarn

The Old Haybarn is a detached stone barn conversion in a small hamlet under two miles from Ipplepen, within reach of Newton Abbot, Totnes and Dartmoor National Park. The single-storey cottage sleeps 5 across two ground-floor bedrooms, a king-size and a family room with a double and a single bed, each with its own storage furniture.

The open-plan living space is styled with contemporary furnishings and a large leather sofa, centred on a woodburning stove with a fuel starter pack included in the rent. The large modern kitchen has an electric oven and ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, with a breakfast bar for preparation and a dining table for sit-down meals. A Smart TV with WiFi covers evenings in, and the family bathroom has a bath and a walk-in shower, with a separate cloakroom for basin and WC.

Outside, an enclosed gravelled area with furniture sits alongside a raised lawned section, with off-road parking for 2 to 3 cars. Electric central heating backs up the woodburner, and more logs for the stove can be sourced from local shops. Newton Abbot is about 4 miles away, Totnes 5 miles and Torquay 7.5 miles, putting the coast and Dartmoor within easy driving distance.

The Old Haybarn takes no pets and is no smoking, and stag, hen and similar parties are not accepted. A shop is 1.5 miles away and the pub 1.4 miles.
