Blackbird Cottage Ipplepen

Blackbird Cottage sits within a small complex near Ipplepen, close to Totnes, and sleeps up to six guests across three first-floor bedrooms. There are two double rooms, one with a television and front-elevation views, plus a twin room overlooking the front courtyard. A single bathroom with shower over a three-quarter bath serves the household, and there is an additional separate WC.

The ground floor is open plan, with the lounge, kitchen and dining area combined. The lounge has a 55-inch television with Blu-ray player, a woodburner with logs provided, and exposed beams, and French doors open onto the patio. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. A stairgate is available for families travelling with young children, and a travel cot and highchair can also be provided.

Outside, the rear garden looks over surrounding countryside and has space for a barbecue in the evenings. The property shares a heated indoor swimming pool, open all year outside maintenance periods, with other cottages on the same site; it is unbooked and free to use, though it can be busier at peak times such as school holidays and weekends. Also shared are a games room with pool table (small charge applies), table tennis, table football and Wi-Fi, a coin-operated tumble dryer, and an outdoor play area with swings and a climbing frame.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars within the shared car park, including an electric vehicle charging point. Dogs are not accepted at this property. A local pub, shop and restaurant are within easy reach, useful for evenings when guests prefer not to cook. Arrival is from 3pm and departure before 10am.
