The Milking Shed

The Old Milking Shed is a converted barn annexe in Bantham, a 15-minute walk from the beach and near West Buckland, with stonework and oak beams kept alongside newer fittings. The kitchen/dining room and sitting room sit on the ground floor along with the master bedroom, and a sunroom gives a second spot to sit with morning coffee.

All three bedrooms have their own en suite: a king-size room with a freestanding bath and a separate walk-in shower, a second king-size room with a large walk-in shower, and a twin with an en suite WC and basin. There's also a separate cloakroom off the kitchen and dining areas.

The kitchen is fitted with a fridge, freezer, warming drawer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and a coffee machine, and the sitting room has a TV, Blu-ray player and a Sonos sound system alongside WiFi. Off-road parking takes 2 to 3 cars plus a small dinghy or boat trailer, and the private, south-west-facing garden has a barbecue and an outside shower for rinsing off sand.

Two well-behaved dogs are welcome and should be supervised when outside. There's a pond in front of the barn, so young children need supervising at all times. Smoking is not permitted, and the property only accepts changeovers on a Monday or Friday.
