The Barns @ Downton

The Barns @ Downton is an eco-renovated three-barn conversion in the hamlet of Downton, outside the village of Dittisham near Norton and Dartmouth. It sleeps 6 across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a downstairs cloakroom.

Two zip-link bedrooms on the ground floor can each be made up as a large double or a twin, sharing a family bathroom with a walk-in shower and an oversized basin. Upstairs, the master suite has a king-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower and double basin. A utility room off the entrance hall has a separate washing machine and tumble dryer, plus a downstairs WC.

The sitting room has two sofas around a woodburning stove, a Smart TV with PlayStation 4, a pool table and a desk with a wired internet connection. The kitchen/diner has a dining table, breakfast bar, double ovens, induction hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and a coffee machine. Sliding doors lead out to a private patio with a dining table, BBQ and a wood-fired hot tub, which needs filling and heating by guests rather than arriving ready to use.

Off-road parking includes an electric vehicle charging point in the parking bay. The property sits on a working farm, with some electric fencing around and near the buildings, and a pond behind the solar panels is strictly out of bounds. Smoking is not permitted, and the shop is 3.6 miles away with a pub 1.7 miles. Dogs are welcome (confirm how many when booking).
