This architect-designed retreat sits in the countryside near Cadeleigh, close to Tiverton and within driving distance of Exeter. The upside-down layout places both bedrooms on the ground floor and the main living space upstairs, where a vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the surrounding valley.

The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed, a freestanding bath in the room and an en-suite bathroom with double basins and WC. The adjoining twin room has a concealed dressing area with generous storage and its own en-suite shower room with heated towel rail and WC. A child safety gate is fitted at both the top and bottom of the staircase leading to the open-plan living area, and a highchair is available on request.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine, with a dining area alongside. The lounge has a gas fire with a wood-burner effect. An external utility room holds a washing machine and tumble dryer, and BT Fibre wifi covers the property.

Outside, a private enclosed garden includes a patio with a private hot tub, outdoor furniture and a charcoal barbecue, plus a lawned area. A separate enclosed gravelled area provides private off-road parking, and electric vehicle charging is available on site. Two dogs are welcome by arrangement, kept on leads outside the garden, with a dedicated dog-washing area, dog beds and blankets provided; a secure grassed area with trees gives dogs their own outdoor space. The nearest pub is around two miles away and shops around five miles, with no shop on site.
