Captains Barn

Captains Barn is a converted barn in the rolling Mid Devon countryside near Cadeleigh, sleeping 4 across two bedrooms. It sits beside a working farm, so tractors and farm vehicles occasionally pass by, and the property does not accept bookings from children under the age of 17.

Both bedrooms have super-king-size beds, and one can be set up as a twin on request. A bathroom with a bath and separate walk-in shower serves the barn, and there's also a downstairs cloakroom for extra convenience.

The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and a Nespresso coffee machine, plus a Smart TV, WiFi and a selection of books and games. Underfloor heating covers the living area. An electric vehicle charging point is available for guest use on a pay-as-you-go basis, and off-road parking is provided for 2 cars.

Outside, the garden is reserved exclusively for guests, with furniture overlooking a large pond that is not fenced. One well-behaved small or medium-sized dog is welcome; dogs are not allowed upstairs, a stairgate is provided, and dogs must stay on a lead on the grounds because of roaming livestock from the neighbouring farm. Smoking is not permitted indoors.
