The Anchorage

This four-bedroom house near Putsborough suits families or groups of up to seven sharing a mix of room sizes. The ground floor holds a double bedroom directly opposite the family bathroom, while two separate staircases lead up to a king-size room with its own en-suite shower, a twin room and a single room.

Downstairs also has a large lounge, a well-equipped kitchen and a separate dining area with a table for family meals. A utility room handles washing machine and tumble dryer duties, and there is an additional WC on the ground floor alongside the two proper bathrooms. Wifi is available throughout the house.

Outside, a fully fenced garden combines lawn with a paved patio set up for outdoor dining, complete with sun loungers, a Weber BBQ and an outdoor shower for rinsing off sand. Driveway parking takes up to four cars, and the booking includes one free parking permit for Putsborough Sands car park, handy for anyone loading up beach gear rather than walking. An electric vehicle charge point is fitted on site, though usage is paid direct to the homeowner rather than included in the rental.

Families travelling with young children will find a travel cot, highchair and stairgate provided. Up to three dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Check-in runs from 3pm and check-out is by 10am.
