South Honeycroft Thatch

South Honeycroft Thatch is a cob and thatched house dating from 1667, in the countryside near Holsworthy Beacon, with the market town of Holsworthy about 3 miles away. Original features include a bread oven and exposed beams, and the house sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and two bathrooms on two acres of private land.

The ground-floor bedroom is a super king-size room with an en-suite wet room and French doors onto the decking. Upstairs, a second super king-size bedroom, convertible to a twin, has its own basin and WC, a king-size bedroom sits alongside, and a bunk-bed room shares a Jack-and-Jill shower room.

The kitchen has a Rangemaster range, microwave, air fryer, American-style fridge/freezer and a Lavazza coffee machine, plus a separate laundry room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. The living/dining room and the snug both have a woodburning stove, and the snug doubles as a games room with a pool table, table tennis, air hockey and a PlayStation 4.

Outside, a wraparound garden has a lawn, decked area and furniture, with access to the surrounding two acres of grounds; the garden itself is not fully enclosed, and livestock can be in the adjoining field. A gas barbecue is provided, along with ample off-road parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome, the property is no smoking, and July and August bookings require a minimum stay of seven nights. The changeover day is strictly Saturdays.
