Partridge Farmhouse

This Grade II-listed longhouse stands on a working farm near Templeton, with thatch, exposed wooden beams and old wooden doors reflecting its seventeenth-century origins. It suits large families or groups gathering together, with space for ten guests and two dogs allowed, though additional charges may apply.

Five bedrooms are arranged across two floors. The ground floor holds one super-king room beside the lounge, offering easier access than the stairs to the remaining four bedrooms. Upstairs are three further super-king rooms, each fitted with zip-and-link beds that can be converted to twins on request, and a double room. A family bathroom with bath and separate shower serves the upstairs floor, one bedroom has its own en-suite shower room, and a further separate WC sits downstairs off the boot room.

The kitchen is fitted with a range electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer, and its long table seats all ten guests. A separate dining room with a round table sits beneath timber beams, while the lounge offers comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a wood burner set within an original inglenook fireplace, with logs provided. A boot room at the entrance provides washing and drying facilities.

Outside, a private hot tub looks over the surrounding countryside, and an open lawn is set up with a football goal, badminton net and basketball hoop. A furnished patio and BBQ suit outdoor meals, and the old pig shed houses a table tennis table for wet days. Parking is available on site, and a travel cot, highchair and stair gates can be provided. The nearest shop and pub are five miles away, and the property is decorated for Christmas during the festive season.
