Northcote Lodge

Set on a quiet country lane near Burrington, Northcote Lodge is a three-bedroom cottage sleeping six across two floors, with underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and a first-floor living room arranged to catch triple-aspect countryside views. French doors open from the sitting room onto a balcony, and a wood burner makes it comfortable on colder evenings, with the first basket of logs provided.

Bedrooms are spread across both floors: the king-size room on the first floor has its own en-suite shower room, a double bedroom sits on the ground floor alongside a separate shower room, and a twin room on the first floor shares the family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath. The kitchen is equipped with a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge-freezer, and a dining table seats all six with country views.

Outside, a sheltered patio sits within an enclosed garden surrounded by mature shrubs. Off-road parking is available directly outside. A welcome pack is included on arrival, Smart TV and Wi-Fi are provided, and guests should bring their own beach towels. One dog is welcome, though additional charges may apply.

Burrington village, with its cluster of 17th-century cob houses and a 500-year-old oak in the square, is close by. Pubs serving home-cooked food are within a couple of miles, Barnstaple's shops and pannier market are around 12 miles away, and surf beaches at Westward Ho! and Croyde are roughly 18 and 23 miles respectively.
