This detached house stands in a private location between the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Dartmoor National Park, within walking distance of Tavistock and its pannier market, shops and restaurants. It suits large groups of family and friends, with sleeping space for 14 across five bedrooms.

The ground floor centres on an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining room with patio doors looking over surrounding fields, plus a gaming area, a library corner and a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar. A utility room and a converted garage housing a self-contained bar area with a pool table, dartboard, projector screen and Sky Sports lead off the kitchen. The ground-floor bedroom has an en-suite shower room and its own doors onto an enclosed patio; a separate shower room with WC completes this floor. Upstairs, the remaining four bedrooms include two family rooms with a king-size and two single beds each, a master with en-suite shower room and WC, and another king-size room, all with Smart TVs.

Outside there are two private hot tubs, two outdoor bar areas (one with an outdoor TV showing Sky Sports), a BBQ, a fire pit and an outdoor wood burner, along with table tennis and plenty of seating. A further enclosed patio area is described as safe for children, while an unfenced pond with fish elsewhere in the grounds means young children need supervising. A wood burner in the main lounge is a decorative feature only and not available for guest use.

Practical points to note: parking is provided for seven cars, with electric vehicle charging available on request for a £100 deposit and a per-kWh charge. A travel cot and highchair can be supplied on request, and stairgates are fitted at the top and bottom of the stairs. No dogs are permitted, and outdoor facilities are switched off at 11pm out of consideration for neighbours. Wifi is available throughout the house.
