Meader Barn

Meader Barn is a detached barn conversion on a working farm a mile and a half by car from Peter Tavy, reached along narrow rural lanes with potholed sections in places. It sits within Dartmoor National Park, with direct access onto the moor without crossing a road, and dog walkers have use of a dedicated dog walking area and paddock.

A mezzanine king-size double bedroom sits on the first floor with its own bathroom, fitted with a bath, separate shower, basin and WC, while a twin bedroom and shower room with shower, basin and WC are both on the ground floor. Two steps lead down to the property and a further two steps down to the ground-floor bedroom.

The open-plan living area combines the kitchen, dining space and a sitting area built around a woodburning stove, backed up by oil central heating. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, and there's a TV with Freeview, DVD player and WiFi. A highchair is provided, and fuel, power and a stove starter pack are included in the rent.

Outside is an enclosed lawned garden with a patio and furniture. Off-road parking is provided for 2 cars. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, with an extra charge for any beyond that, and no smoking is allowed anywhere on the property because of the straw and hay stored nearby.
