Lower Marsh Barns

Lower Marsh Barns is a single-storey conversion of a courtyard of listed barns in the hamlet of Marsh Green, near Aylesbeare in East Devon. It sleeps 14 across seven en-suite bedrooms, all on one floor, with parking for 6 cars around a private courtyard, including two electric car chargers.

Bedrooms are grouped in two wings plus one off the hallway: two super-king-size rooms, either zip and link or twin on request, four king-size doubles and a bunk room for children, each with its own en-suite walk-in shower, basin and WC, two of them with a bath. An open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting area sits alongside a separate dual-aspect sitting room and a cosy snug.

The kitchen has a four-oven electric range with induction hob, microwave, American fridge/freezer, a Nespresso machine and two dishwashers, and the dining table seats 14. Air source heat pump underfloor heating runs throughout. Outside, the enclosed rear garden has a terrace, lawn, barbecue and furniture, with gated access through a wild area to a small stream.

Lower Marsh Barns is pet-friendly for up to two well-behaved dogs, and a cot and highchair are available. Smoking and vaping are not permitted, and stag or hen parties are not accepted. A minimum stay of 3 nights applies, and full weeks only are booked over Easter, summer, half-term and Christmas. The village shop at Whimple is 3.7 miles away, with a pub 1.3 miles.
