Little Oak Cottage

Little Oak Cottage stands in open countryside near Waddicombe, close to Dulverton, with fields, woodland and a stream nearby. The rural setting means sheep, cattle and other animals are regularly encountered on surrounding land, and the nearest pub and shops are some miles away.

Inside, an open-plan kitchen/diner has contemporary units, a large dining table and a well-stocked bookcase, along with an electric oven and induction hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. A Rayburn range is present as a decorative feature only and is not in use for cooking. A separate utility room holds a washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer. The lounge has three large windows, a wood burner, comfortable sofas and a TV/DVD, making it a bright daytime space that turns cosy in the evening.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms: an en-suite double and a twin room that can be converted to a king-size on request. There are two bathrooms, both fitted with baths rather than showers. A patio area with a charcoal barbecue and garden furniture sits alongside an enclosed garden, which backs onto a fenced bridge and stream, giving well-behaved dogs plenty of space to explore; up to two dogs are welcome, with additional charges applying.

Parking is provided in a dedicated car park next to the property, reached by a direct path roughly 60 metres from the front door, with the final stretch crossing gravel. Internet access is available, and a travel cot and highchair can be provided for younger guests. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
