Lew Quarry Cottage

Lew Quarry Cottage stands down a no-through lane in the Lewtrenchard Valley, a mile from Lewdown, a thatched detached cottage surrounded by trees close to the River Lew. It sleeps 4 across two bedrooms, a twin and a double reached through it, with a ground-floor bathroom and a separate WC.

An entrance porch opens into a sitting room with an open fire, leading through to a dining room where meals are prepared in a well-equipped kitchen with a microwave, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. Heating combines night storage heaters with the open fire, and a TV with DVD and WiFi cover evenings in. Bed linen, towels, fuel and power are all included in the rent, and a cot is available on request for younger guests.

Off-road parking is provided for two cars, and the property has an electric car charging point, though guests need to bring their own charging cable. Outside, the garden has a bench and table to sit on the bench or at the table, and a shed for storing bikes. The village inn is under a mile away for an informal supper, and Lydford Gorge and Roadford Lake are both within reach for walking, cycling and watersports.

This property does not accept children under 5, except babies in arms, and check-in is from 4pm. No pets are allowed and the cottage is no smoking throughout.
