Lakeside Barn

Lakeside Barn is a six-bedroom converted barn sleeping 13 in Pancrasweek, set within a gated lakeside complex on the Devon and Cornwall border. Five bedrooms have super king zip-and-link beds convertible to twins on request, one of which also includes an additional single bed, and there is a separate twin bedroom. Four bathrooms serve the group: two family bathrooms each with a bath, shower and WC, and two en-suite shower rooms with WC.

The barn runs over two floors, with the main living space on the first floor. The open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room features a large island and breakfast bar, induction hob, electric triple oven, American-style fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine and wine cooler. Two super king bedrooms and a family bathroom sit on the same floor, alongside a first-floor balcony with lounge seating. The ground floor holds the four remaining bedrooms, a utility room with washer and dryer, and a WC.

Outside, an enclosed patio with lounge and dining seating, a BBQ and a large covered hot tub seating up to ten or twelve people with built-in Bluetooth speakers provides a practical outdoor base in most weather. The lakeside grounds are shared, and young children should be supervised near the water. Fishing and paddleboarding on the smaller lake can be arranged on site. Five cars can park off-road, and electric vehicle charging is available at an extra charge.

Holsworthy Golf Club, within half a mile, offers guests a complimentary round of golf and discounted food and drink at the club restaurant, with transport by golf buggy available on request. The nearest shop and pub are around three miles away, and the beach at Bude is around six miles into Cornwall. Up to four dogs are welcome, with additional pets considered on request. The barn can be booked alongside a neighbouring property to accommodate up to 24 guests in total.
