Kelly Mill Cottage sits in the hamlet of Kelly, near Lifton, and sleeps four across two bedrooms. The mezzanine king-size room looks down into the double-height lounge, while the ground-floor twin room can be made up as a king-size on request. One shower room with a walk-in shower serves both. Exposed oak beams and original stone walls give the 300-year-old building its character, balanced by a wood burner with a first basket of logs included, a Smart TV and a Bluetooth speaker.

The open-plan kitchen and dining area is fitted with an electric oven and induction hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, wine cooler and coffee machine, so self-catering here is genuinely comfortable. A direct door from the kitchen leads onto the south-facing patio, where both relaxing and dining seating suit everything from an early breakfast to an evening meal. A highchair and travel cot are available on request.

Cross the driveway and descend the stone steps to reach the outdoor amenities that make this cottage stand out: a hot tub, a fire pit and children's play equipment, all positioned five metres back from the riverside. Six acres of bluebell woodland are also private to guests. The property sits within 18 acres of meadow and woodland, with a mill stream running in front and off-road walking and cycling trails accessible directly from the cottage. One dog is welcome; additional charges may apply.

Parking is available on site. The nearest shop and pub are two miles away, and the coast is 19 miles. Tavistock, with a wider range of independent shops and restaurants, is roughly 8.5 miles, and Dartmoor National Park is around six miles. Stabling and turnout for horses can be arranged on request, with an arena available to hire nearby.
