Island View - Millhayes

Island View - Millhayes is a single-level lodge set within a working farm estate close to Kentisbeare, near Cullompton. Wooden panelling runs through the interior, paired with contemporary fixtures across an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area.

The lounge is furnished with an L-shaped sofa facing a wood burner (first basket of logs supplied) and a Smart TV. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer, with a dining table alongside. The king-size bedroom sits at one end of the lodge, all on the ground floor, and has its own Smart TV. Next door, the en-suite bathroom has slate tiling, a walk-in shower and a freestanding bath, with the WC housed in the same room.

French doors from the lounge lead onto a decked and patio area with outdoor seating, a seated bar and a private hot tub, all overlooking the lake. Jetty spots around James' Pool are available for guests wanting to fish, though fishing on Willow Lake is reserved for other properties on the estate and swimming or entering any of the lakes is not permitted. Private parking for two cars and an electric vehicle charging point are provided on site, and the property has internet access.

The lodge sleeps two guests and welcomes one dog, which must be supervised at all times given the open water nearby; additional charges may apply. A pub and shop are around half a mile away. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out by 10am.
