Honeysuckle Cottage - Narracott

Set in farmland above a wooded valley, Bratton Fleming is the village closest to this two-bedroom cottage, which sleeps four and accepts two dogs. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00, giving a full evening to settle in on the first night. The property runs on a private water supply, which is worth knowing before you arrive.

The kitchen and dining area is equipped with an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and a table that seats four comfortably. The sitting room centres on a wood burner with logs provided, alongside a Smart TV and board games. Upstairs are two bedrooms: a king-size room with countryside views and a second room configured as both a double and a single, which works well for a family or three friends. A single bathroom with shower over bath and WC serves both rooms.

Outside, an enclosed garden and patio area gives the dogs a safe space to roam, while the rear lawn looks across a wide wooded valley. Guests also have access to an upper garden and a shared front lawn. A charcoal BBQ is available, and a secure barn provides storage for bikes, surfboards or beach kit. Private parking alongside the old barn accommodates two cars, with extra spaces available by arrangement with the owner. Vehicles should not go beyond the front gate, and the large farm barn entrance must be kept clear at all times.

A travel cot and highchair are both available on request. The nearest pub is roughly five miles away in Challacombe, a local shop is about a mile distant, and Exmoor National Park begins around three miles from the cottage. Woolacombe, Saunton and Croyde beaches are each between fifteen and seventeen miles away, all reachable for a day trip.
