Holder's Barn

Holder's Barn stands alone at the end of its own private drive in quiet farmland near Monkokehampton, sleeping up to 4 guests including infants. Double French doors open into a vaulted living space with exposed beams and stone pillars, and a galleried walkway connects the two upstairs bedrooms. The open-plan interior is cleverly divided: a few steps up from the kitchen and dining area lead into the lounge, where sofas face out toward the garden and a Smart TV with Blu-ray DVD player is on hand for quieter evenings. The kitchen end is equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, Bosch Tassimo coffee machine, dishwasher and fridge with ice compartment.

Both bedrooms are upstairs, each with its own en-suite shower room with shower and WC. The king-size room and the twin zip-and-link room, configurable as a super-king on request, both benefit from underfloor heating throughout the property. A separate WC sits downstairs. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate are all available on request, and a hairdryer is provided.

Outside, an enclosed gravelled patio with seating leads through to a separate grassed area with far-reaching countryside views and room for children to play. The gas BBQ suits al fresco meals, and an outdoor tap and hose handle muddy boots after walks. A utility room adjoins the main building with a washing machine, additional freezer space, dog washing facilities and an honesty shop for essentials and local produce. Ample off-road parking sits in front of the property, and a shared EV charger is available on site serving this and one neighbouring property.

Winkleigh and Hatherleigh are a short drive for shops and pubs. The Tarka Trail is within easy reach for walkers and cyclists, and the area around the property is known as War Horse country. Up to 2 dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.
