Duffield

Duffield is a modern detached house on the edge of St Ann's Chapel, a small hamlet close to Bigbury and about three miles from the surf beaches of Bigbury-on-Sea. Across three floors it sleeps 12 in five bedrooms, with a mix of family and en-suite rooms suited to a multi-generation group.

The first floor holds a king-size master bedroom with an en-suite of walk-in shower, double basin and WC, plus two further king-size doubles sharing a family bathroom with sunken bath, separate walk-in shower, basin and WC. Under the eaves on the second floor are a family bedroom with a king-size bed and two single beds, and a further double. A ground-floor shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC serves the rest of the house.

The kitchen is open-plan with a breakfast bar and a separate dining room table, and the sitting room has a woodburning stove. A utility room and a garage converted into a games room with a table tennis table give extra space for a big group. Two TVs run Google Chromecast and Apple TV for movie nights, and a Nespresso machine is provided if you bring your own capsules. The garden has a lawned area with table, chairs, sun umbrella, garden games and a gas barbecue.

Duffield takes two well-behaved dogs, and a cot without bedding plus a highchair are provided. Off-road parking covers 5 cars. Smoking is not permitted, and the property does not provide towels. The village shop and The Pickwick Inn are around fifty metres away. Hen, stag and similar parties are not permitted.
