Dove Chapel

Dove Chapel sits near Ashford, close to Braunton, and sleeps six across three bedrooms. Converted from a former chapel, the ground floor centres on an open-plan kitchen and dining area with a vaulted ceiling and original beams, furnished with pews reworked into benches and an old lectern used as a bookcase. The adjoining lounge has bi-folding doors opening onto the garden, with water views from inside, and a Smart TV with DVD player.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a washer/dryer. One double bedroom is on the ground floor, with an en-suite Jack and Jill bathroom that has a shower over the bath and WC, accessible from the hallway as well as the bedroom itself. Upstairs there is a further double and a twin room, served by a separate shower room with shower and WC.

Outside, three steps from the lounge lead to an enclosed garden with a gently sloping lawn, a paved patio, garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue, with further water views. There is also an outdoor shower and secure storage for two or three adult bicycles in an Asgard shed. A foosball table is provided indoors for those wanting some rainy-day entertainment.

The property has internet access throughout and is set up for families, with a travel cot and highchair available. One small dog is welcome, though guests should confirm size with the booking team before reserving; additional charges may apply. Parking is on the roadside, with space for two cars within metres of the property rather than a private driveway. The nearest beach is around five miles away, with a pub and shop roughly two miles from the door.
