Crossbury House

Crossbury House sits in the village of Yarnscombe, roughly midway between Barnstaple, Bideford and Great Torrington, and sleeps eight across four upstairs bedrooms. The super-king room and one of the king rooms each have their own en-suite shower room and a Smart TV. The third bedroom has zip-and-link beds that convert between a king and two 2'6" singles on request, also with a Smart TV. The fourth room is a twin that can be made into a king-size on request. A family bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, a separate shower room and a ground-floor WC complete the facilities.

The kitchen and dining area forms the social heart of the cottage, with underfloor heating, a central island, range cooker with gas hob, full-size fridge, separate freezer, dishwasher, wine cooler, coffee machine and air fryer. A utility room holds the washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge has deep sofas, a wood burner with an initial log supply included, and a 65" Smart TV. A garden room beyond the kitchen provides additional seating and a further Smart TV with full Sky package.

Patio doors from the garden room open onto a decked terrace with a glass balustrade where the private hot tub sits. Steps lead down to an enclosed lawn with a treehouse and slide, garden furniture and a gas BBQ, all with open countryside views. A separate enclosed dog paddock has an outdoor hose for rinsing muddy paws. The gravelled driveway provides off-road parking for up to five cars, and a gate secures the whole plot. Up to three dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.

Shops, pubs and restaurants are around three miles away. The Tarka Trail, a largely traffic-free walking and cycling route, is accessible from the surrounding area. Calm-water beaches at Instow are approximately eleven miles distant, with the surf beaches at Saunton, Croyde and Woolacombe all within a twenty-mile drive. Check-in is from 16:00 and departure is before 10:00.
