Cranscombe Barn

This former barn sits on a sloping site near Brendon in North Devon, within Exmoor National Park. The property has a reverse-level design, with the main living space on the first floor and bedrooms below. Access is via external steps to first-floor level, then internal stairs down to the ground floor where the king-size and twin bedrooms are located. The building sleeps four guests across two bedrooms.

The first-floor lounge, kitchen and dining area share the open space, with exposed beams, a vaulted ceiling and a wood burner. A first basket of logs is included. The kitchen contains an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, small freezer, slimline dishwasher and washer/dryer. Entertainment includes a 55-inch Sony 4K TV with satellite TV, Amazon Fire Stick, DVD player, PlayStation 4 and Blu-ray player with a library of films. A Bose Bluetooth speaker and payphone within the grounds complete the space.

A modern bathroom features a bath, walk-in rainfall shower, heated towel rails and recessed spotlights. Purified borehole water is used throughout. The property comes with a welcome pack and towels are included, though you should bring your own beach towels.

The garden features a large decked area and a rough, sloping grassed section with furniture. Private parking accommodates two cars. A pub is 1 mile away; shops and a beach are 4 miles distant. Dogs are not permitted. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
