Crannacombe Farmhouse

Crannacombe Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse in the Avon Valley on the outskirts of Loddiswell, within reach of Woodleigh. Reached along a private lane with no through road, on 80 acres of the owner's land, it sleeps 9 across five bedrooms and three bathrooms, with the owner living separately in a nearby annexe.

Two double bedrooms, one with an en-suite bath and shower over, basin and WC, the other with a basin, and two twin bedrooms share a bathroom with a bath and shower over upstairs; one twin is reached through the double bedroom via a curtained doorway. A ground-floor single bedroom has its own shower room with a walk-in shower, basin and WC.

Downstairs, the sitting room has a wood-burning stove and Smart TV, the kitchen/diner has its own TV and a larder fridge, and the dining room seats up to ten at an antique table. The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, and WiFi covers the house. A cot, highchair and stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs are provided.

Outside is a multi-level front garden with a patio and a summerhouse with an outside barbecue, seating for nine, plus a small lawned rear garden. Guests also have access to a private paddock and a stretch of the River Avon through sloping fields, though the paddock isn't secure and neighbours grazing livestock. One well-behaved dog is allowed, kept on a lead, not left alone in the property or paddock, and not permitted in the bedrooms; puppies aren't accepted. Off-road parking takes up to 4 cars. Changeovers are on a Friday, with a minimum stay of 4 nights outside summer and school holiday weeks, when only full-week bookings apply. Stag and hen parties are not accepted, and the property is not considered suitable for anyone with limited mobility.
