Beech House - Thorne Park Farm

Beech House at Thorne Park Farm sits in the countryside around Chilsworthy, roughly 1.5 miles from Holsworthy town centre where a weekly farmers market, shops, pubs and a supermarket make provisioning straightforward. The farmhouse sleeps 12 across four bedrooms, each with its own en-suite: one king-size room, two family rooms each fitted with a king-size and two single beds, and a twin room. A fifth bathroom, a downstairs shower room with WC, is well placed for rinsing off after a day out.

Exposed beams and a wood-burning stove in the dining room set the tone inside, with the first basket of logs included. The lounge has an electric-effect wood burner and a Smart TV, with comfortable seating for all twelve guests. The dining room doubles as a games space when the pool table top is removed. The kitchen runs to a range oven, induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer and microwave, with a breakfast bar for informal meals. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate are all available on request.

Outside, the enclosed garden has lawn, outdoor seating and a charcoal BBQ. A private hot tub is available for evenings, and a dedicated games barn houses a table tennis table, skittle alley and table skittles. The separate play area includes a climbing frame, playhouse, swings, slide and trampoline. Private off-road parking is provided for four cars. No dogs are permitted at this property.

Holsworthy town centre is within 1.5 miles and has a sports centre and indoor pool with sauna. The North Cornwall coast around Bude is within roughly 10 miles. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure by 10:00.
