Babbacombe, Wellswood and Rutland

This collection of three self-contained houses in Torquay sleeps up to 18 people across nine bedrooms, making it suited to a large family gathering or a group of friends wanting separate front doors but shared outdoor space. The three properties can also be booked individually when a smaller party is travelling.

Rutland Lodge is the main house, with five bedrooms (two king-size, one double and two twins, one on the ground floor), each with its own en-suite. The kitchen is fully equipped for catering a large party and includes a coffee machine, and the dining table converts to a pool table for evening games. A wood burner warms the lounge, with the first basket of logs included, and a conservatory offers an alternative spot for meals.

Wellswood and Babbacombe are matching four-person mews houses, each with a king-size and a twin bedroom upstairs, a ground-floor shower room and a first-floor bathroom with shower over bath. Some bedrooms and bathrooms across the properties have low, sloping ceilings. Both kitchens are fully fitted with a dishwasher and washing machine, and each lounge opens onto the shared courtyard.

When booked together, all three houses share a large enclosed and covered courtyard with seating, an outdoor kitchen with sink, brick coal barbecue and wood-fired pizza oven, plus an eight-person hot tub available seasonally between Easter and autumn. Private parking covers four cars, shared with one other cottage on site, with additional on-street parking available. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are provided, and up to three dogs are welcome with additional charges applying.
