16th Century Devon Farmhouse

This farmhouse dates back to before 1600 and sits in the countryside near Winkleigh, with far-reaching valley views and access via narrow, winding rural lanes. It sleeps 10 across five bedrooms, and the group can bring up to two well-behaved dogs.

The five bedrooms comprise two doubles and three twins. Four bathrooms have a bath and hand-held shower, basin and WC, and a further shower room has a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Low beams, low doorways and several small steps between levels run throughout the farmhouse, part of its original 16th-century character.

The dining room and each of the three separate sitting rooms have their own woodburning stove, and the kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and dishwasher, with a utility room adding further practicality. A TV and WiFi are provided throughout, and fuel, power, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. A highchair and travel cot are also available.

Outside, an enclosed rear garden and formal front gardens have a patio, furniture and a barbecue, with far-reaching views across the valley. Off-road parking is provided for 5 cars, and the shop and pub are both about 3.1 miles away. Smoking is not permitted.
