Wistlandpound Farmhouse - Sleeps 16

Wistlandpound Farmhouse sits on the edge of Exmoor National Park near the hamlet of Kentisbury, about 12 miles from the surf beach at Woolacombe and within 5 miles of the South West Coast Path. A pub and local shop are a mile away, and Wistlandpound Reservoir is half a mile on foot, making it a straightforward starting point for walks through the surrounding woodland. Barnstaple is accessible for larger shops, markets and transport links.

The main farmhouse has five bedrooms upstairs: three king-size and two twin rooms, one of which includes a daybed for an additional guest. Two living rooms sit on the ground floor, one with a Smart TV and one with a wood burner (first basket of logs included). The kitchen and dining area is equipped with two electric ovens, an induction hob, microwave, American-style fridge/freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine. A shower room completes the ground floor, while upstairs a family bathroom, a second shower room and a snug/games room sit alongside the bedrooms. Smart TVs are fitted in two of the bedrooms as well.

The self-contained annexe adds three further bedrooms, one double and two twins, along with its own living room with Smart TV and a bathroom with shower over bath. This layout suits extended families or groups travelling as two households who want shared space without being entirely on top of one another. A washing machine and tumble dryer handle longer stays, a travel cot and highchair can be arranged on request, and secure storage is provided for bikes, canoes and surfboards, with a wetsuit drying area on site. CCTV covers the entrance gate for security when the property is vacant; no cameras cover areas used by guests.

Outside, the garden includes a large lawn, patio furniture, picnic seating and hammocks. Private parking covers up to five vehicles. No dogs are permitted, arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
