West Henstill House

This thatched, Grade II listed house sits in countryside two and a half miles from Sandford, dating from the 16th century with original features throughout: panelling, exposed beams and low doorways. The sitting room has a wood burning stove in an ancient inglenook, and the house sleeps 8 across four bedrooms upstairs.

Bedrooms are a king-size double with an en-suite shower room, a further double and two twins, sharing a family bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC and basin, plus a ground-floor WC. The kitchen has dining space and doors onto the garden, with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and a TV with DVD; WiFi is fitted and used regularly for video calls and streaming.

Off-road parking is provided for three cars, and the enclosed garden has a sunny patio with lighting, furniture and a barbecue, plus steps up to an enclosed lawn where children can run and play football. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome, kept to the kitchen, and a cot and highchair are available on request.

The property sleeps a maximum of 8, including babies, and bookings run to a maximum of 14 nights without prior arrangement with the owners. Smoking is not permitted and stag or hen parties are not accepted.
