Thorne Farm

This farmhouse near George Nympton sleeps up to ten guests across five characterful bedrooms, each with exposed wooden beams and its own accent colour. Three rooms are super-king-size, one of which can be arranged as twin beds on request, plus a king-size room and a twin room with two single beds. Three bedrooms have en-suite facilities, while the remaining two are served by a family bathroom.

A long hallway runs the length of the house, linking a sociable lounge with wood burner and Smart TV, a separate library area with books, board games and puzzles, and a dedicated games room with a pool table. The kitchen and dining area is built around an electric Aga set in an inglenook fireplace, with a kitchen island and space for a large dining table. A boot room off the kitchen offers storage for coats and outdoor gear, and houses the washing machine and a fridge/freezer. Two staircases give access to the bedrooms above.

Outside, an enclosed front garden sits behind a gated entrance, while a patio to the rear and side has outdoor seating, a charcoal barbecue and a private hot tub enclosed with stock fencing (guests should bring their own towels for hot tub use). A courtyard area adds further planting, and a privately owned 7-acre field beyond the rear lawn is available for exercising dogs. Up to four dogs are permitted, with additional charges possible.

Private parking is available for up to five cars, and the property has a private water supply. A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. Arrival is from 4pm and departure before 10am.
