The Nissen Hut

The Nissen Hut is a thoughtfully converted countryside retreat near Queens Nympton, set on a working farm just outside South Molton. Sleeping two guests, it suits couples looking for something with a little history behind it. The curved form of the original hut gives the space genuine character, while the interior has been fully updated with contemporary comforts.

Inside, the layout runs open-plan from a sitting area through to a kitchen and dining space, with a separate bedroom at the far end. Seating clusters around a wood burner, with a first basket of logs included. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and coffee machine. A smart TV sits in both the lounge and the king-size bedroom. The bathroom features a free-standing bath and a separate waterfall shower.

Outside, a wood-fired hot tub sits on the patio looking out over the surrounding farmland. An enclosed lawn adjoins the patio, with outdoor seating and a dining area giving two dogs room to run safely. Off-road parking is available for two cars.

A pub is under 1.5 miles away, a shop around 2 miles and the nearest beach approximately 19.5 miles. Travel cot and highchair are available on request. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00. Up to two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply.
