The Italian Stables

The Italian Stables sits at the end of a private drive within the grounds of the owner's home, near Woodtown between Bideford and Barnstaple. This conversion accommodates two guests in a single king-size bedroom, with the layout designed for a couple seeking a self-contained retreat surrounded by farmland.

Inside, a mosaic-tiled entrance hall doubles as a dining area, with a picture window looking onto the rear south-facing garden. The kitchen is fully fitted with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washer/dryer, along with a microwave and Nespresso machine. The lounge has a flagstone floor, a wood burner with a first basket of logs included, a Smart TV, and underfloor heating runs throughout the property. The bedroom has a king-size bed and its own garden-facing window, and the shower room has a walk-in shower and WC.

Outside is a private, enclosed walled garden with a raised patio for outdoor dining, garden furniture and a charcoal barbecue. A gravelled path leads to a secluded corner with a chiminea and outdoor games. Parking is available on site for one car, and by prior arrangement the owner can provide freshly made southern Italian meals at an extra charge.

One dog is welcome (two small dogs or one medium dog, with additional charges applying), though this stables suits couples rather than families given the single bedroom and shower-room-only bathroom facilities. Arrival is from 3:30pm and departure before 10am.
