The Holt At Pillmouth Farm

This renovated barn sits above a paddock running down to the River Torridge, close to Landcross and around two miles from Bideford. The first-floor living space is open-plan, with a wood burner (the first basket of logs included), a Smart TV and comfortable seating arranged to make the most of the river views.

The kitchen is fitted with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and a Nespresso Vertuo machine. Two bedrooms sit on the first floor: a king-size room with its own en-suite shower room and WC, and a bunk room with a single over double, suiting a family or small group of four. A family bathroom with a bath, handheld shower and WC completes the sleeping arrangements. On the ground floor there's a shared utility area with a washer/dryer, plus a wet room with a shower only; this ground-floor area is shared with the owners.

Outside, an enclosed balcony has patio furniture and a charcoal barbecue, with views over the tidal river. Guests can fish directly from the grounds without a licence (bring your own rods), and the adjoining paddock is available for use, though it is occasionally shared with the owners. A games room with table tennis can be arranged on request. Secure storage is provided for bicycles, paddleboards, kayaks or surfboards, and an outdoor tap is handy for rinsing off sand or muddy paws.

Private parking is provided for two cars, along with an electric vehicle charging point (one complimentary charge per stay, with further use payable directly to the owner). Wifi is available, and one dog is welcome, subject to an additional charge. The property runs on a private water supply, and infants cannot be accommodated. Check-in is from 4pm and check-out by 10am.
