The Hideaway

Set in Wrafton, near Braunton in North Devon, The Hideaway is a single-storey detached annexe sitting beside the owner's home and sleeping two adults. The Tarka Trail, a 180-mile figure-of-eight cycling and walking route, runs around 300 metres away, giving cyclists and walkers immediate access to Barnstaple and the River Taw corridor. Saunton Sands, a three-mile stretch of beach popular with surfers, runners and horse riders, is three miles from the door, and Braunton's shops, pubs and restaurants are under a mile away.

Guests enter through a conservatory that doubles as a dining and sitting space, furnished with a table and armchairs. It opens into a well-lit living area with a choice of sofas and armchairs, alongside a kitchen equipped with an electric cooker, halogen hob, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. The one double bedroom sits around the corner from a shower room containing a walk-in shower and WC. Two steps connect the patio to the conservatory entrance.

The enclosed patio garden runs along the side of the property, decorated with potted plants and laid out with garden furniture. A further shared garden area to the rear provides sun loungers. Outdoor storage is available for bicycles and surfboards, with garage storage available by arrangement. Private parking for one car is provided on site.

The cottage does not accept children, dogs or smoking. Wi-Fi is available. Arrival is from 16:00 and departure before 10:00.
