South Hayne Cottage

South Hayne Cottage lies down a quiet country lane near Shillingford, close to Bampton and Devon's wider countryside. Bampton, two miles away, has a butcher, bakery, chemist, greengrocer, two convenience stores (one with a post office) and several places to eat. Exmoor National Park is three miles to the north, with walking routes ranging from gentle strolls to longer hikes, while Minehead's beach, the cathedral city of Exeter and the medieval village of Dunster with its castle are all within easy reach.

The cottage sleeps four across two bedrooms, a king-size and a twin, positioned at either end of the property. A small room adjoining one bedroom has space for a travel cot and includes an extra WC with hand basin, and the main bathroom offers a shower-over-bath and WC. The lounge/diner forms the centre of the property, with a dining table seating six, comfortable seating, an electric fire, TV and DVD player. The adjoining kitchen has an oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and a separate utility room houses the washing machine.

Outside, the garden is divided into an enclosed lawn and a patio seating area furnished for outdoor dining. Off-road parking is available for up to three cars, and superfast wifi is provided throughout the property.

South Hayne Cottage is part of a working farm, and dogs are welcome, up to two, with additional charges applying. A travel cot and highchair are supplied for younger visitors. Pubs and shops are around three miles away, with the nearest beach roughly twenty miles distant. Check-in is from 4pm, with departure required by 10am on the day guests leave.
