Mill Cottage

Mill Cottage sits on an organic farm in the Mole Valley, reached along a three-quarter-mile private drive just outside George Nympton in North Devon. This is a self-catering base for two, with no facilities for children or infants and no dogs permitted, making it best suited to couples wanting a quiet countryside break.

The roughly 300-year-old building has exposed stonework and thick stone walls, and you enter directly into an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining space. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and coffee machine, and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and organic eggs is provided on arrival. Smart TVs are fitted in both the kitchen/lounge area and the bedroom.

The double bedroom sits on the ground floor and comes with shelving and drawer space, while a separate shower room with shower, basin and WC completes the accommodation. Internet access is available throughout the cottage.

Outside there are three seating and lawn areas including a front and back terrace with a firepit and BBQ, plus a steep, sheltered terrace garden. A short walk from the cottage, a private wood-fired hot tub sits on a wooden deck overlooking a stocked pond, and outdoor exercise equipment and secure cycle storage are also within walking distance. Private parking is provided for two cars. Smoking is not permitted inside or anywhere in the grounds, and the nearest shop is around three miles away with a pub about two miles distant.
