Home Barn Bickleigh

Home Barn sits near Bickleigh close to Thorverton in Mid and East Devon, offering accommodation for up to six guests across three bedrooms. A couple of steps lead down into the cosy lounge, where a wood burner, exposed beams and a Smart TV set the tone for the rest of this converted barn, which retains original features such as arrow-slit windows and a threshing wheel.

Upstairs, reached via a wooden tread staircase, two super king-size bedrooms each have their own en-suite shower room, while a twin room has use of a separate bathroom fitted with a free-standing slipper bath and hand-held shower. A shower room with WC is also located on the ground floor, and a separate utility room houses the washing machine. The kitchen/diner, accessed via a step up from the lounge, is equipped with an Aga featuring a built-in electric mode, a dishwasher, large fridge and freezer, microwave and Nespresso machine, plus bi-folding glass doors opening onto the garden.

Outside, a patio area with garden furniture, a barbecue and sun loungers looks over lawns and fruit trees, with a stream running along the bottom of the garden that is unfenced, worth noting for families with young children. Ample parking is provided on site, and two dogs are welcome, subject to an additional charge.

Indoor board games and jigsaws, together with outdoor options including a large Connect 4, Jenga and croquet, are provided for entertainment during a stay. A travel cot and highchair are available for younger visitors, and pubs and restaurants are within walking distance, with a supermarket in Tiverton around four miles away.
