Hill Rest at Western Cottage

Hill Rest at Western Cottage is a two-storey annexe attached to the owners' home in Blackborough, a hamlet on the edge of the Blackdown Hills National Landscape. It sleeps two, making it suited to couples rather than families or groups, and one dog is welcomed, though additional charges may apply.

Inside, the ground floor is given over to an open-plan kitchen and diner, with a wraparound island and large windows looking onto the surrounding countryside. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and coffee machine. A cosy lounge sits alongside, centred on a brick fireplace with a wood burner (the first basket of logs is supplied) and a Smart TV; further televisions are fitted in the dining space and bedroom.

Stairs from the lounge lead to the single king-size bedroom, which has ample storage and its own en-suite bathroom with a bath and WC. A separate shower room with WC lies across the hallway, giving two bathrooms in total. A travel cot and highchair can be requested in advance for guests who need them.

Outside, an enclosed patio garden offers outdoor seating for morning coffee or evening meals, and private parking is provided for one car. A pub, restaurant and shop lie within two miles, while the coast is roughly 17 miles away. Internet access is available throughout the cottage. Arrival is from 16:00, with departure required by 10:00 the following morning.
