Granite terraced house in Princetown, once home to a Dartmoor Prison warden

Angels Place is a granite-built terraced house in the heart of Princetown, part of a row originally built to house wardens at Dartmoor Prison, whose former buildings are visible from the property. It sleeps 6 across four bedrooms: two doubles, a bunk room and a single, with one double bedroom looking out over the Dartmoor landscape.

Downstairs, the sitting room is centred on a woodburning stove, and the kitchen/diner has a double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Gas central heating, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the rent. Upstairs, the family bathroom has a free-standing bath with an overhead and two hand-held showers, and there's a separate cloakroom downstairs.

Outside, an enclosed rear garden with furniture is a sheltered spot for coffee or an evening drink, and an enclosed gravelled area at the front takes in views across the moor. Parking is on the roadside, on a first-come, first-served basis. The village shop and pub are 0.2 miles away, and a lake lies around 5 miles off.

One well-behaved pet is welcome at Angels Place, and smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house. WiFi is included throughout, useful for evenings in after a day out on Dartmoor.
