Driftwood Cottage

A single-storey barn conversion set in a small hamlet along a winding country lane, Driftwood Cottage sleeps four across a double and a twin bedroom, both sharing a bathroom with a freestanding bath and walk-in shower. High vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows give the open-plan living space a light, airy feel, and sliding doors connect the lounge directly to the wrap-around composite deck outside.

The kitchen is a modern L-shaped arrangement with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. A Smart TV is included, and a shared laundry room adjacent to the cottage provides a washing machine and tumble dryer for guests at this property and the one neighbouring holiday let. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside, the wrap-around deck looks out over the garden and across open countryside and the estuary beyond. Two reclining loungers and an outdoor dining set are in place, and a charcoal BBQ is available to use. Note that there is one step down from the decking to the garden. Two dogs are welcome, though additional charges may apply. Parking is available on site for up to two cars, and a Go Zero 7 kW EV charger is provided, payable via an app by scanning a QR code.

Bere Alston village, around 2.5 miles away, has local shops, while a similar distance in the opposite direction brings you to Bere Ferrers and a traditional pub. Tavistock is 8 miles off, and Dartmoor National Park is roughly 5 miles from the cottage. The nearest beaches at Whitsand Bay and Wembury are 16 miles away.
