Little Week Cottage

Little Week Cottage stands a mile from Bridestowe, on a quiet lane near Lydford, part of a smallholding with ducks and chickens. Converted from a thick-walled original building attached to the owners' house, it has exposed beams and a wood burning stove throughout its living space.

The ground floor holds a bathroom and utility room near the front door, leading to a fitted kitchen and a sitting room with a large inglenook fireplace and a window seat. Upstairs is a king-size double bedroom with low original windows under the eaves.

Central heating and the wood burning stove keep the cottage warm, and the kitchen has a microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. A Smart TV and WiFi are provided, and a cot and highchair are available on request.

Outside is a private enclosed garden with a patio, table and chairs, and countryside views towards Dartmoor's highest points. Off-road parking is provided for one car, and up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome. Smoking is not permitted, and a three-night minimum stay applies. The cottage draws its own water from a private supply that's tested regularly.

A pub in Bridestowe village is within a mile, and the market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton are a short drive for more shops and restaurants. National Trust Lydford Gorge is also nearby.
